Fact: Standard Face Seal-style gaskets are lapped or polished, sealing with a 1.8” turn.
Problem: Lapping, polishing, and the associated individualized packaging is expensive.
Solution: Hy-Tech’s Unpolished Flat Test Gaskets eliminate the necessity of costly procedures. Our test gaskets can seal with more tightening than standard gaskets and do not require individual packaging due to their rougher surfaces. Additionally, scratches or minor imperfections are coined out of the surface of the gaskets during the tightening process.
During testing applications when tightening past 1.8” is acceptable, Hy-Tech gaskets are a significant money saver.
